Art isn’t escape, it’s connection

Welcome!

I exist between books and forests. Growing up I lived in a very woodsy corner of Connecticut where I spent my childhood talking to trees, telling stories to woodland creatures, and searching for fairies. It was within that habitat of flora, fauna, and imagination that my art and creativity was born.

Today I live in Providence, Rhode Island where my happiest hours are spent trekking through snow banks and watching swans and seagulls drift down the Providence River. Nature and storytelling continue to be my greatest inspiration and drives the art you’ll find here.

My paintings are each their own story told through my colorful, dreamy, and sometimes moody watercolor illustrations. When you take a piece of that story to your home I hope that chapter of the tale nurtures inspiration that is unique and special to you.

I fundamentally believe that art and stories are the builders of connection. I am so grateful to be connecting with you.

All the best,
D. Elizabeth
